Please join us at CPM’s Practice Roundtable on Friday, Sept. 18, 2026
This ongoing series is a networking opportunity; it is a reflective space to help private-sector planners and is shaped by participants. You do not need to have attended a previous session to join us.
One of CPM’s missions is to facilitate exchange of information relevant to consulting planners. We spent the summer surveying our members and talking at the Roundtables about what planners need for professional development, guidance on the nuts and bolts of running a business, and how to get the projects they want. Based on these conversations the Sept. 18 Roundtable will focus on:
- Project leads: sharing and providing tips and leads on potential clients and upcoming RFPs
- Building teams: including being a subconsultant
- Responding to RFPs: including pricing services, selecting which RFPs to respond to, how to survive
Many people indicated AI and ethics in planning is a topic of interest. We will work on this in the near future.
The goal of the Roundtable is to offer a supportive environment where planning professionals can step back from day-to-day project demands and engage in open, candid conversation about the practice—sharing challenges, ideas, tips and experience that are lost in day-to-day work.
Please join us and learn, share and pass along ideas. Feel free to send this invitation to others you think might be interested and reach out with any questions.
