Planner/Project Manager

CivicMoxie is a collaborative team of city planners and urban designers combining an innovative spirit and on-the- ground know-how to ensure plans on paper translate to a vibrant reality with positive outcomes. We are a four year old firm with a growing list of exciting projects and research and everyone on our team shares responsibilities and gets to participate in a variety of projects and tasks. Our projects include a Waterfront Master Plan for Bridgeport, CT; TOD and brownfields studies for Connecticut towns, a multi-modal plan for Manchester, NH, a cultural plan for Portland, Maine, and other work.

Job Description:

We are seeking a creative, collaborative, highly-motivated, and self-directed planner/project manager with 4-6 years of experience to join our team and to contribute to the firm’s growing number of projects. Responsibilities will include managing projects with multiple subconsultants on the team, leading proposal writing for new work, contributing to the firm blog, social media outlets, website, and contributing to all office work when needed.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have an advanced degree in urban design, architecture, or urban planning with four to six years of experience in planning and/or urban design. A minimum of two years of managing projects with multiple team members is required. The ideal candidate will also have, at a minimum, basic knowledge of GIS and graphic software such as InDesign and Illustrator.
