The Town of Edgartown through its Planning Board invites sealed proposals from qualified design firms to perform consulting services for revision and development of the Town’s Comprehensive Master Plan, in accordance with proposal documents prepared by the Town of Edgartown. The Edgartown Planning Board shall be the Awarding Authority.
Call the Edgartown Procurement Office at 508-627-6185 or e-mail jsmyth@edgartown-ma.us for the RFP. RFP may also be picked up at the Procurement Office, 70 Main St. Proposals must be received by the Town no later than 2:00 PM on July 8, 2021. See attached for details.

The Town of Arlington Department of Planning & Community Development (DPCD) seeks proposals for a planning study for the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway. DPCD seeks experienced planning, urban design, transportation, or engineering firms to develop a plan for the Minuteman Bikeway that will address safety and access on the Bikeway, identify community goals and priorities, and describe an implementation plan for improvements to the Bikeway. The implementation plan will prioritize infrastructure upgrades and conceptual designs with preliminary actionable cost estimates useful for grant applications. Consultant will work with DPCD and Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee to prepare the plan. Due June 9.

The Needham Housing Authority (NHA) is seeking proposals from planning and development consultants for major modernization and redevelopment of our properties. Includes a possible Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversion of Federal properties under the HUD Program; evaluating whether our State properties could be positioned to take advantage of the HUD Section 202 program, in conjunction with other funding programs; identifying possible new sources of funding that may emerge from the federal infrastructure initiatives; identifying other new sources of funding that may be necessary and/or available; assisting with procurement of a development partner; educating NHA Board of Commissioners and Town officials as to the strategies and requirements that may be necessary; making recommendations about tasks and activities to be undertaken; and protecting the rights of current NHA residents.
The RAD and Section 202 related scopes of work are defined separately and can be addressed together in one proposal or a respondent may respond to just one or the other scope of work.

The firm must have a minimum of five (5) years economic development or related economic development experience. The fee per fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) is subject to appropriation and currently not to exceed $10,000.

LDS Consulting Group, LLC, a multi-disciplinary firm focusing on developing and preserving housing. We are growing with large housing planning studies in the pipeline (Cape and western MA), feasibility study work and a growing affordable home monitoring service. We need a person who can provide part-time services such as inventorying and mapping property, Registry research and demographic research. We will provide all the training necessary for this position. The hours may increase over the summer but there will always be steady work throughout the year. Much of it can be performed online, but some of it requires in person visits.

Sasaki is seeking applications for an entry level planner with 0-3 years of relevant experience in our Boston, MA office. Sasaki is a planning and design firm of 300+ professionals. At present, the Sasaki office is working remotely due to COVID, but this position will be expected to transition to working from the Boston office in 2022.
The successful candidate will become an integral member of Sasaki's Planning and Urban Design practice, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on research, graphics, and writing for planning, space programming, and design projects, both domestically and internationally. Applicants should have strong research, analysis, and communication skills (verbal, graphic, and written) and an eagerness to learn. The entry level planner will work across markets and on a variety of project types-for both the private and public sectors-including college and university campuses, urban/mixed use districts, corporate employment campuses, resilience planning, and community plans.

Though the firm’s primary practice is in landscape architecture, this position is for a planner comfortable with research, writing, mapping, and quantitative analysis.
