The Town of Lexington has an opening for an entry level planner.  Under the direct supervision of the Planning Director and Assistant Planning Director, performs a variety of technical and professional work in the current and long-range planning of the Town.  Examples of duties include involvement in application and development plan review, preparation of reports and exhibits for the Planning Board, conducting research related to planning issues, providing technical support to the planning director and assistant planning director, and other duties as described in detail in the job description available at the link below.  Attendance at Planning Board meetings is required.  Bachelor's Degree in urban planning, or related field from an accredited college or university and one to five years of increasingly responsible planning-related experience.  A Master's Degree is preferred.
Candidates for this position will be required to undergo a background check, including a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) screening.  Anticipated hiring range: $30.88-35.23/hr. (The rate reflects the beginning to mid-point of the range, which is the expected maximum hiring range for this position, depending upon education and experience)
