Town Planner Town of Scituate
The Town of Scituate seeks qualified applicants for the position of Town Planner. This position performs professional, technical and administrative work in planning and land use controls and will report to the Director of Planning and Development, with policy direction from the Planning Board and according to applicable Massachusetts General Laws, Town policies, Town bylaws and relevant state, federal and local regulations and standards. The Town Planner coordinates activities with other development review staff.
A Master's Degree in Planning or a related field, and five (5) years of experience as a Town Planner or similar municipal government capacity is desired, with AICP certification strongly preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. This position is covered under the auspices of the Services Employees International Union, Local 888. Starting salary will be in the low- to mid-$80,000's, with excellent benefits.
