Barnstable is soliciting responses from individuals or firms for an update to its Local Comprehensive Plan. The Plan will set out a vision for growth and development, land use, infrastructure, and resource protection for this distinctive community, as well as a targeted action plan to guide our future work and resource allocation. The Town began the LCP process with a community vision statement and an existing conditions report (Phase I). This request for consultant support is for Phase II: a future land use plan, topic-specific goals, actions, and performance measures.

The Boston Planning and Development Agency (BPDA) issued an RFP for a "regional framework plan" for land owned by Harvard in Allston from the former MassPike toll plaza south to the railroad tracks. The primary goal of the study is to create a plan for dense urban development that supports Allston highway and rail infrastructure that has been under study for more than 10 years. Planning effort to be completed by Dec. 2024 for $240,000.
