    Holyoke's Office of Planning and Economic Development needs a Brownfields Grant and Project Coordinator to help develop strategies to redevelop brownfields. Goal is for "in house" support to apply for brownfield grants for city projects, to offer consulting services (up to 10 hours per business/developer) for private business owners and developers, etc. Budget is $60,000; 18 months.

    Boston Planning Department needs a consultant with "community connections and pedagogy expertise" to develop and implement an 8-week (~2 hours/week) Planning Academy program.  The goal of planning education programs in US cities has been to demystify the planning, design, and development process through education and curriculum.

    Scope includes developing and refining a curriculum that can be adapted and used by staff later, supporting outreach and recruitment, setting up virtual/in-person academy sessions, facilitating “train-the-trainer” staff training, co-facilitating pilot program sessions, etc. Twelve months, $150,000.

    Groton issued an RFP for a consultant to help develop a dynamic 10-year Groton Town Center Vision plan that provides a framework  for near-term growth. The plan will integrate research and community planning that has happened over the past several years.
